Dikana Consulting is a start-up company whose focus is to assist businesses to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), (RFQs) Tenders/Bids, Request for Information (RFI) as well as consult with respect to evaluation of tender proposals in a manner that is not only compliant but also fair, transparent, equitable, competitive and cost effective.

We also assist bidders/tenderers with regards to:

1. How to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations RFQs. This is achieved through supplier workshops
2. Hands on Evaluation of tender proposals
3. Ensuring that bidders increase their chances of getting business
• compliance to tender administrative and mandatory requirements
• searching for relevant tenders on various platforms
• preparing proper table of contents for bid proposals

The company is a Level 1 Contributor to B-BBEE Scorecard and 100% Black women owned and managed consulting and advisory company, formed in 2015. All shareholders of Dikana Consulting are also directors, implying that our focus is on our clients. The workshops emphasis is on how tenders are issued by government departments, how best suppliers and service providers should compile and submit their bids. It also shares with delegates on how tenders are evaluated and awarded to the successful bidder's. Bidders are also advised on how to claim incentive points under the Preferential Point Systems applicable to all tenders and quotations from R30 000. The SA tendering rules will soon change and contracts will be awarded based on the B-BBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) Status and the workshop will show suppliers how to effectively plan for these changes and not to lose out on available points during the scoring process of tenders.

FOUNDER/FACILITATOR

1. Experience The facilitator and owner, Ms Nomvuyo Jawe brings a significant degree of hands-on experience of 29 consecutive years in the Public Sector 16 years of which were in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from different spheres of government and its entities.

For 16 years, among other responsibilities, she has been involved in the following:

• served on the 3 bid committees both as a member and secretariat/advisor
• crafting of terms of reference/specifications
• compilation of tender/bid documents
• advertising
• briefing
• closing and screening of proposals
• evaluation
• site inspection
• doing supplier reference checks and
• adjudication of thousands of tenders of every imaginable type

As an industry expert, Ms Jawe has run numerous supplier and end-user workshops. She has also been invited by the private sector to transfer skills and expertise to suppliers.

2. Relevant qualifications
• B Comm – University of Fort Hare
• NQF Level 7 in Advanced Programme in Sourcing and Supply – UNISA
Contract management expertise brought about by Commercial Law and Business Economics that she did during her junior degree
